In 2014, I was living a seemingly normal life when, out of nowhere, my skin erupted in itchy, red hives. My upper lip, hands, neck, and back were constantly irritated, and the blisters that followed were painful and embarrassing. It felt like my body was betraying me, and I had no idea why.
A visit to the allergist revealed the culprits: dairy, tree nuts, grapes, and carrots. I was also warned to avoid casein and whey, which seemed to be lurking in so many of my favorite foods. The diagnosis felt like a life sentence, stripping away the simple pleasures of enjoying a Tim Horton’s donut or a slice of pizza. Dining out became a minefield, each meal a potential risk.
A Glimmer of Hope: Sean’s Unwavering Support
