  1. Cooking the Rice

  2. Making the Pudding
    1. Once the rice is cooked, reduce heat and stir in the coconut evaporated milk and coconut condensed milk. Stir occasionally to prevent the rice from sticking.
    2. Cook until the mixture thickens and resembles a thick porridge, then remove from heat.
  3. Finishing Touches
    1. Stir in the quartered maraschino cherries.
    2. Let the pudding cool for 25 minutes before serving, or serve cold if preferred.
