  1. Preparing the Milk Mixture
    1. In a pot, warm 2 cups of coconut evaporated milk over low heat (do not boil).
    2. Add ¾ cup of sugar to the milk and stir until dissolved.
    3. Add the ground cardamom, ground cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves to the milk mixture. Set aside.
  1. Cooking the Cream of Wheat
    1. In another pot, melt 4 tablespoons of plant-based butter over medium heat.
    2. Add 1 cup of cream of wheat to the melted butter and begin parching, stirring frequently until it turns slightly brown (about 10 to 15 minutes).
  1. Combining Ingredients
    1. Gradually add the warm milk mixture to the parched cream of wheat a little at a time, stirring continuously. Be careful as it will bubble up.
    2. Stir in the maraschino cherries (or raisins if you prefer) until evenly distributed.
  1. Finishing Touches
    1. Continue stirring until the mixture pulls away from the sides of the pot and reaches a thick consistency.
    2. Your parsad is ready to enjoy! Serve warm.
